Israel continues to escalate it’s egregious attacks on Iran, obviously in the hope of involving the USA more directly, not just with arms supply and intel.

Aljazeera reports that overnight, Iran and Israel exchanged more missiles and air strikes “as the conflict that’s killed dozens escalates with no end in sight. At least 80 people – including 20 children – have been killed in Iran and four in Israel, with hundreds wounded on both sides.”

ABC News reports: “Israel and Iran have exchanged a fresh wave of attacks, including a strike on the world’s biggest gas field. Tehran called off nuclear talks that Washington had said were the only way to halt Israel’s bombing. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the attacks are nothing compared with what Iran will see in coming days… B’Tselem, a leading Israeli human rights organisation, said on Saturday that instead of exhausting all possibilities for a diplomatic resolution, Israel’s government had chosen to start a war that puts the entire region in danger.”

Israel deliberately sabotaged those negotiations, as it always does, because it has no interest in anything less than the destruction of Iran, the erasure of Palestine and the subjugation of its Arabic neighbors.

Apparently, the piss-weak United Nations nuclear watchdog this week reported Iran had violated obligations under the global non-proliferation treaty. Oddly enough, that so-called Treaty ignores the nine countries that actually DO have nuclear weapons: the United States, Russia, China, France, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, India, North Korea and… Israel. That’s a combined total of around 12,000 nuclear warheads. But those feckers are allowed to have nukes while Iran isn’t???

What a steaming pile of bullshit is that!

Israel has attacked Iran now because if Iran actually did develop nuclear arms Israel wouldn’t dare!

Meanwhile, to nobody’s surprise, Israel continues to massacre Palestinians.

Also from Aljazeera: “Israeli fire and air strikes have killed at least 79 Palestinians across the Gaza Strip, a number of them near an aid distribution site operated by the United States and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), according to local health authorities, the latest deaths of people desperately seeking food for their hungry families… United Nations officials and humanitarian groups say it will not have the ability to deal with the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza as a result of Israel’s two-month-long blockade. Instead, the aid groups that have been working in Gaza point out that they have the capacity to bring in food and other humanitarian supplies – if only Israel would let them… One in five people in Gaza currently face starvation due to the Israeli blockade of food and aid while 93 percent are experiencing acute food shortages, according to a UN-backed assessment released last week.”

The so-called GHF is Israeli/US window-dressing, a con job, a pretext to herd Palestinians into yet another killing field, a pantomime to facilitate genocide.

With tacit US approval. Within a day from claiming that Israel’s attack on Iran was a unilateral decision, Trump is now gushing eagerly to share credit for it, as one astute observer commented in The Guardian.

I was going to say something about birthday boy Donnie Dicko’s Stalinist military parade but thought, nah, feck it! The orange idiot is a barely functioning, incoherent international laughing stock as it is. His days are numbered.

As for Australia’s response to Israel’s latest atrocities? The usual flaccid, weak-kneed and useless mumbling about Israel’s “right to self defense” as it bombs the shit out of anyone that raises an eyebrow.
